The rapid adoption of teledentistry has brought the opportunity for innovative practice models to light! More than a public health option, teledentistry is transforming dentistry with innovative care delivery options for all. Mobile programs provide greater efficiency for patient care with far reaching potential and income opportunities. The dental marketplace is changing as patients are discovering the convenience and effectiveness of telehealth and teledentistry services, thus seeking a teledentistry provider. Dental providers are discovering more autonomy and adopting alternative care practices to increase reach and revenue. This interactive workshop will delve into the legislative considerations, ROI opportunities, clinical techniques, business models and more, all with the goal of preparing attendees to move forward with mobile and teledentistry services. The workshop will conclude with an interactive panel discussion.

About the Speakers
Brant Herman, CEO and Founder of MouthWatch
Brant Herman grew his passion for building companies during the first Silicon Valley technology boom. He is widely known in the teledentistry world and is a frequent public speaker and author of articles in leading oral health-related publications. Since Brant founded the company back in 2012, along with Bob Bellhouse and his father Dr. Jerry Herman, the company has grown dramatically. MouthWatch products are used by over 15,000 practices in all states of the US and in many countries.
Brant lives in Central New Jersey, close to the MouthWatch headquarters. He loves spending time with his son and daughter, coaching sports, traveling, running, and cooking.
Scott Howell, DMD, MPH
Scott Howell, DMD, MPH, is an assistant professor and director of public health dentistry and teledentistry at A.T. Still University, Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH), and a clinical advisor for MouthWatch. He is a 2014 graduate from ATSU-ASDOH, and he completed a dental public health residency at UT Health San Antonio in 2019. He spent a year at the Swedish Medical Center GPR in Seattle treating patients with complex medical conditions and special needs. After residency, he returned to ATSU-ASDOH to develop a teledentistry program. Dr. Howell is an international speaker and has written extensively on teledentistry.
Amber Lovatos, RDH, BSDH
Amber Lovatos, RDH, BSDH, has been compassionately blazing trails personally and professionally for more than 10 years. As a clinician, educator, author, podcaster, and champion for public health issues, she inspires industry colleagues with unique stories that include triumph over abuse and discovering her identity as “The Latina RDH.” Amber is also the co-author of Smiles Por Vida a Spanish & Spanglish not for profit children’s dental book. A powerful speaker and advocate, Amber is founder of Latin RDH and host of Un Cuento De Dos Higienistas.
