This course is designed to increase confidence in screening. And through discussing best practices of an oral cancer office system, the “Cotten Method”, also aid in reducing liability and empower the dental team.

Course Objectives:

  • Recognize risk factors, and signs and symptoms of oral and oropharyngeal cancer.
  • Apply best practices of the head and neck, oral, oropharyngeal cancer evaluation.
  • Identify components of an oral cancer office system and teledentistry’s role.

About the Presenter

Susan Cotten BS, RDH, OMT, is the founder and CEO of Oral Cancer Consulting, Susan developed the “Cotten Method™” a screening protocol and oral cancer office system designed to increase confidence in screening and reduce liability. Susan is a 2018 RDH/Sunstar Award of Distinction recipient and 2020 Ethel Covington award recipient from the Colorado Dental Hygiene Association.
