Speaker Biography: Melissa Calhoun, MSDH, RDH Melissa Calhoun is a clinician, educator, writer, and speaker with extensive experience in dental hygiene education and professional development. She currently serves as an Instructor of Dental Hygiene at Tarrant County College. Melissa earned her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Pensacola State College, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from St. Petersburg College, and a Master of Science in Dental Hygiene from MCPHS University. She presents continuing education courses to professional audiences across the United States and is a published author in peer-reviewed dental journals covering topics related to oral health and dental hygiene. In addition to teaching courses in radiology, pharmacology, oral embryology, histology, and anatomy, Melissa serves as the President of the American Academy of Dental Hygiene.
